The Farnborough Airshow was a much needed boost for Airbus where its A320neo saw good endorsement, especially from its largest buyer AirAsia.
On Thursday, Airbus SE stated it had orders and commitments for 431 aircrafts from the Farnborough Airshow, with AirAsia placing new orders for a wide-body jets.
The planemaker disclosed that it had received 93 firm orders and 338 tentative deals. This includes, 60 A220 jets, formerly known as the CSeries and which competes with Embraer.
Incidentally, Boeing plans on acquiring Embraer’s commercial aircraft business but has yet to complete the deal.
