Masamichi Kogai will now become Mazda Motor’s chairman.

On Friday, Mazda Motor Corp stated, Masamichi Kogai, its CEO and president, would be stepping down from office.

Akira Marumoto, who currently serves as the company’s vice president and overseas its operations in the Americas, will be replacing him.

Kogai, who became Mazda’s CEO and president in 2013, will now become the company’s chairman.
