Companies in the race to acquire Ducati include Indian automaker Bajaj Auto Ltd and Harley Davidson.
With Germany’s Volkswagen Group putting up its motorcycle brand Ducati up on the block, U.S. motorcycle maker Harley Davidson and Indian automaker Bajaj Auto Ltd were among the companies racing to place their bids to snag this sale.
Among the companies eyeing Ducati is Eicher Motors Ltd, the owners of the Royal Enfield motorbikes.
According to anonymous sources familiar with the matter at hand, Eicher has placed a binding bid of $1.8-$2 billion for the acquisition of the Italian brand of motorcycles, reported the Economic Times on Thursday.
