In 2016 German law enforcement agencies have filed 253,290 cases related to cybercrimes.
As per a German newspaper, Germany’s law enforcement agencies in 2016 had registered 82,649 cases of espionage, computer fraud and other cybercrimes in 2016, an increase of just over 80 percent from 2015, a German newspaper reported on Sunday.
Germany’s Die Welt newspaper has reported that Thomas de Maiziere, Germany’s Interior Minister has released the statistic as part of the government’s annual crime report.
In addition, the German police has also registered 253,290 cases of cybercrimes, an increase of 3.6% from 2015.
