As per Kyodo News agency, Suzuki Motor Corp is suspecting to have cheated the public with the fuel economy of its vehicles.

Japanese news media have reported that Suzuki Motor Corp has been suspected of using improper testing methods for fuel economy of its vehicles.

Kyodo news agency has reported citing anonymous sources that Osamu Suzuki, Suzuki Motor’s Chairman will present a report to Japan’s transport ministry later today.

When asked to respond to requests for comments, Suzuki Motor has politely declined.

This report comes in the wake of Mitsubishi Motors Corp admitting that for the last twenty five years, its fuel economy testing methods did not comply with Japanese regulations. It is currently embroiled in a cheating scandal.
